\nAs part of our tour, we will explore how the city dealt with a “pestilence” at the beginning of the 17th century. Measures against epidemics had to be implemented by the administration to protect the inhabitnts of our city and Tyrol.
\nMany orders from the court, provincial government, and city administration can also be linked to contemporary epidemics (such as the Spanish flu, HIV, Ebola, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, as well as measles, mumps, and COVID-19), drawing a parallel with today’s efforts to combat unknown diseases.
